The Paradise Adventist Church is committed to complying with the Governor’s “stay at home” order for our state in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
We have closed our office and are working remotely instead. We believe that our efforts can affect this outbreak, and we encourage you to seriously consider how you and your family can stay safe during this time.
We value the health and safety of our church members, students and neighbors, and we continue to follow the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, the California Department of Public Health, and our local Butte County Public Health Department. We will continue to monitor public health mandates and recommendations, and we will notify you if our policies and practices change.
We continue to suspend all meetings and church services, in order to reduce the risk of sharing virus symptoms and to try to flatten the curve of exposures to the virus, which in turn will help keep critical health services from being overwhelmed. While we are still not aware of any cases as of yet in Butte County, we want to remain as vigilant as possible.
The PAC pastors and office staff are available by phone or via the contact form on our website (paradiseadventist.org). The office phone number is 530-877-4454. We will be checking messages remotely.
For the foreseeable future, all meetings scheduled for the office are either canceled or will be conducted via phone or online platforms. If you have a meeting scheduled, the organizer will notify you of the new plan.
We will keep you informed about any changes to this strategy as new information becomes available.
We encourage you to continue to follow the simple health care guidelines provided by the CDC and medical experts. These include:
Wash your hands carefully with soap and water for no less than 20 seconds; use sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol when washing hands is not possible.
Cover your mouth and nose while coughing and sneezing. Do not cough into your elbow or sleeve as the virus stays on fabrics for long periods of time.
Maintain a safe distance from others—no less than six feet; avoid shaking hands, giving hugs, etc.
Sanitize your living and work areas daily.
Stay at home if you are sick.
If you have any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19, call your doctor for medical advice. Stay at home in isolation unless you are having a medical emergency (i.e. trouble breathing).
Even in these uncertain times, we urge all our members to stay connected with family, friends, and church members through phone calls, texts, emails, social media, etc. We can encourage and support one another through these avenues of communication—and through prayer.
Give us your thoughts!
Before we begin rebuilding, we must evaluate what we need from a church building and how we can best meet those needs. So we've decided to explore how other churches do it. Click on "Respond" to fill out the survey "Church Models to Explore" and give us your thoughts on which church we should visit next!
