Service & Help Ministries

There are many opportunities for service at the Paradise Adventist Church (PAC) besides the major ministries. The member ministers fill a very vital function to the smooth operations of many necessary, but sometimes invisible, operations of the PAC church.

Following are some of the many ministry opportunities available:

Building Maintenance Committee

Members of this committee take on the responsibility of completing minor updating and building repair projects to the physical plant as necessary.

Floral Committee

The floral committee arranges seasonal displays of flowers and/or decorative items for the entrance in the church foyer and other stations throughout the church every Sabbath.  They also place a silk arrangement or provide another arrangement in the sanctuary if no church member has signed up to provide flowers for that Sabbath.

Indoor/Outdoor Planters

Member ministers “with a green thumb” are invited to help water the plants in the indoor planters of the sanctuary and the outdoor planters at the church entrance off of Academy Drive.

Kitchen Committee

The ladies of the kitchen committee maintain the cleanliness of the church kitchen in the Fellowship Center.  They launder any linens used in the kitchen and keep the facility stocked with paper goods.

Van Ministry

This ministry provides transportation to people needing a ride to Sabbath morning services.  There is a two-fold need for member ministers in this ministry:

1.         Dispatchers are needed to call every Friday (late afternoon or evening) to confirm that each rider intends to be picked up the next morning.  The dispatcher then relays that information to the scheduled driver.

2.         Drivers either pick up riders from their homes and bring them to church (a.m. drivers) or return the riders to their homes after services (p.m. drivers).

Each “team” is on duty one Sabbath per month and is on a rotating schedule for duty whenever a 5th Sabbath occurs.  There is also a need for both alternate dispatchers and drivers to be called upon in case of emergency or extenuating circumstances.

Wedding Coordinators

Generally women, these member ministers help a bride and groom plan for a beautiful, worshipful wedding while adhering to church guidelines and protocols.  Wedding coordinators schedule any tech support and facility personnel needed for the wedding, and relay any necessary information to the church office.
